Crystal have announced they are to cut out Trans Fats from their ships as more health warnings appear about the damage they can do. This follows on from Royal Caribbeans decision earlier this year.
Disney Magic returns to the West Coast

Disney, who recently announced their first furor into the Mediterranean for the summer of 2007, have now stated that Disney Magic will return to the West Coast and cruise from LA for the summer of 2008. This is not the first time Disney Magic has cruised from LA, the first time was in 2005.

Costa Cruises has chosen Marseilles for the inauguration of CostaSerena when the 112,000-ton, 3,780-passenger ship enters service on May 12th 2007. This is the second ship in three years to be christened outside of Italy, the first being CostaMagica, which was christened in Barcelona in 2005.
CostaSerena is Costa’s twelve cruise ship and a sister ship to CoataConcordia.
Celebrity Name Third Solstice Class Ship

Celebrity Cruises has announced the name of its third Solstice-class ship: Celebrity Eclipse. The 118,000-ton, 2,850-passenger new-build will bring Celebrity’s fleet total to 13.
Like her predecessors, Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Equinox (launching in 2008 and 2009 respectively), Celebrity Eclipse will be built at Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, and is scheduled for delivery in 2010.

P&O Cruises have announced they are building a new 116,000-ton, 3,076-passenger cruise ship to be constructed by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri at its Monfalcone yard in Trieste, Italy. The initial estimated cost is 535 million euros (approximately $706 million) with an expected delivery in the spring of 2010.

After a trial on Navigator of the Seas in the fall of 2006, Royal Caribbean have announced they are banning the use of Trans Fat in their on board kitchens.
Celebrity Millenium Suffers Slowdown

Celebrity Millennium which is currently on an Eastern Caribbean cruise, has experienced an electrical fault to the ship’s port propulsion system. This has caused Millennium to slow her speed to about 75% of her normal capacity.
The ship is bypassing the Dominican Republic’s Casa de Campo continuing on to San Juan, hoping to arrive on schedule.
