Costa Cruises Announces Four Ships Visit to Dover

Costa Cruises will be hosting a series of ship visits for agents onboard the Costa Marina, Costa Mediterranea, Costa Atlantica and Costa Victoria in August and September 2008. This is an excellent opportunity for agents to increase their knowledge about Costa Cruises and the increasingly popular cruise industry.

This will be agents’ last opportunity to see the magnificent Costa Victoria in the UK for two years.

All four ships will be docked in Dover. The dates for the ship visits are as follows:
• 31 August 2008 – Costa Marina - Dover
• 3 September – Costa Atlantica - Dover
• 6 September – Costa Victoria – Dover
• 16 September – Costa Mediterranea – Dover

The itinerary for the ship visits on Costa Marina, Costa Atlantica and Costa Mediterranea are as follows (these times are subject to change):
• 10am – Agents will embark the ship and take an initial look around
• 11am – Guided ship visit
• 12pm - An hour long presentation giving an insight to the company and what’s new at Costa Cruises
• 1pm – Lunch in one of the ship’s restaurants
• 2.30pm – Coffees in one of the ship’s restaurants & free time to continue to explore the ship
• 3.30pm - Disembarkation

The itinerary for the ship visit on Costa Victoria is as follows (these times are subject to change):
• 11.30am – Agents will embark the ship and take an initial look around
• 12pm – Guided ship visit
• 1pm – Lunch and coffees in one of the ship’s restaurants
• 3pm - An hour long presentation giving an insight to the company and what’s new at Costa Cruises
• 4pm - Disembarkation

Agents must send the following information when they apply for a ship visit:
• Name of ship and date of visit requested
• Passport name
• Passport number
• Place of birth
• Date of birth
• Nationality

Costa Marina is inspired by light due to her characteristic large windows and glass atrium soaring three decks high. Costa Marina’s halls and public areas are decorated with artworks by prestigious Italian artists. Facilities include a swimming pool, a children’s pool, three Jacuzzis, a spa and fitness centre, Tropicana Showroom, Marina lounge, Laguna Club, casino, card room, library, Squok children’s club and shopping centre.

As high as a 20 storey building, Costa Atlantica has a surface area 20 times the size of the Olympic stadium in Rome! Some of its best features include the meticulous reproduction of the 18th century Caffè Florian in Venice, the Atrium decorated with Pompeii-style frescoes and the Via Veneto Lounge featuring original photographs of the ‘Dolce Vita’ period. Other features include the Caruso Theatre, Olympia Lounge, Corallo Festival Hall, Dante’s Disco, Fortuna Casino, Piazza Madame Butterfly, Via Veneto Lounge, Giardino Terrace, St. Mark’s Square, shopping centre, conference and Paparazzi Lounge.

Costa Victoria is a stylish and elegant ship which stands out thanks to its modern design and works of art. The ship has a guest capacity of 2,394 and features three swimming pools, four Jacuzzis, an internet café and library, Squok children’s club, Festival Theatre, Concorde Plaza, Planetarium Hall, Winter Garden, conference room, meeting rooms, shopping centre, Rock Star disco, card room, Arcadia Boulevard and Monte Carlo Casino.

Costa Mediterranea’s interiors are inspired by 17th and 18th century Italy and the beauty of these eras. Design inspiration includes works from the Sicilian baroque period, Medieval Sienna, 18th century Venetian style and neoclassical art.
