Royal Caribbean extends non-smoking rule to cabins
July 25, 2007 by admin
Royal Caribbean International is to ban smoking in cabins on most of its ships from January, with Legend of the Seas, Rhapsody of the Seas and Splendour of the Seas following suit next summer.
The new regulations put in place by Royal Caribbean will see smoking banned from all cabins and suites and in one bar or lounge on each vessel. Smoking is currently prohibited in hallways and corridors, restaurants, Entertainment venues and most of the ships’ interior public spaces except for designated areas in bars and lounges.
Under the new policy, passengers will be limited to smoking from starboard outer decks, in specified areas of bars and lounges and on the balconies of cabins or suites only.
